How Algorithms Shape our World

Kevin Slavin gives a TED talk about the growing, and sometimes unintended, impact of algorithms on our lives.  Key quote:

It’s a bright future, if you’re an algorithm.

He tells of a book on Amazon whose price rose into the millions because of algorithms competing against each other.

I found this video after reading the BBC story, When algorithms control the world, which had been shared on LinkedIn.
